Students should continue working on their Heritage Fair projects each evening. At this point, some students are ready to begin typing their five short paragraphs while others are waiting to have some help with editing their writing. Here is what they should be doing at home:
1) gathering pictures, maps, graph, charts etc. to add to their poster boards (remember, these
need short captions under them to explain what's going on)
2) purchase the poster board ($10-$12 apx.) Wal-Mart, Staples, Zellers, Coveys
3) edit the rough draft of their five paragraphs (they call it their "bubble sheet")
4) when the paragraphs are edited, they can begin typing them (use larger font so it is easy to
see) Each of these paragraphs need a title.
4) work on creating their project title (should not be done in free-hand) Use stencils, letter cut-
outs etc. (bold and neat)
